“Hope" was inspired by my own journey to the United States. A few years ago, I left my homeland of Brazil and moved to the U.S. with almost nothing—no connections, no money, and not even the ability to speak English. All I had was Jesus and a fire within me that fueled my dreams. I faced many challenges, from language barriers and financial struggles to homesickness and loneliness. Yet one thing I never let go of was hope. This became my secret to perseverance, and I poured that same hope into this new composition.
Writing this song was such a joy! It’s rooted in Baião, a traditional genre from northeastern Brazil, blended with fusion elements. What I love most about composing is the creative journey—the process of transforming a feeling or an idea that exists only in your mind into a piece of music that others can experience and enjoy. It’s truly an incredible process!
In this digital, connected era, we can collaborate across continents, and this song reflects that spirit. It was recorded remotely with talented musicians from both Los Angeles and Brazil, merging my two worlds into one.

"Unexpected" was born out of the chaos and uncertainty that swept the world during the pandemic. With life turned upside down and so much beyond our control, I felt a deep need to express my thoughts and emotions through music. However, there was one problem—I had never composed a song before.
Despite the challenge of stepping into unfamiliar territory, I didn’t let that stop me. I embraced the journey and poured my heart into creating this piece. To bring the song to life, I invited talented musicians who have played a significant role in my musical journey to collaborate with me and help convey its powerful message.
The heartbeat of Unexpected is this: no matter what happens in life, keep going. Keep moving forward, keep challenging yourself, and never stop dreaming. Just like I don’t stop grooving and hitting the drums with all my passion, you shouldn’t stop pursuing your goals. It’s not the circumstances you face that define your future—it’s how you respond to them.
